TRC-150094 is a drug which acts as a thyroid hormone mimetic, replicating the metabolic effects of triiodothyronine but with minimal activation of the thyroid hormone receptors. It has been shown to improve insulin resistance and hyperglycemia, and is in Phase III human clinical trials for the treatment of diabetes.[1][2][3][4][5]
