Ginjiro Sumitani (炭谷 銀仁朗, Sumitani Ginjiro, born 1987, in Kyoto, Japan) is a Japanese professional baseball player for the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). He previously played for the Saitama Seibu Lions.

Career

In 2005 NPB draft [jp], Seibu Lions selected him with the first selection.[1] November 15, he signed with Lions.[2]

On November 26, 2018, he signed with Yomiuri Giants.[3]

International career

He was selected Japan national baseball team at the 2013 World Baseball Classic, 2015 WBSC Premier12 and 2017 World Baseball Classic.
