The Lianyungang–Xuzhou high-speed railway (Chinese: 连徐客运专线) is a high-speed railway currently under construction in China. The railway has a design speed of 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph).[1]
The railway runs parallel to the Longhai railway and interchanges with it at Lianyungang and Donghaixian. It is the eastern-most section of the Eurasia Continental Bridge passageway.
History
Construction began on 6 November 2016.[2] The railway was expected to open by the end of 2020,[3] but this was pushed back.
