Hayderschatte came from Micheal Hayder and Charlotte Schatte. When they had been married, they combined last names and therefore created the surname Hayderschatte. Shortly after however, it is believed that their son, Wilhelm, had changed it to Hinneschied. Before the Hendershots came to America, they had lived in the Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The original farm house that the German Hinneschieds lived in is still there today.
