Pavlo Polehenko (Ukrainian: Павло Ігорович Полегенько; born 6 January 1995 in Chernihiv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian football defender who plays for Desna Chernihiv.

Career

Polehenko is a product of the Yunist Chernihiv and FC Dynamo youth sportive schools. His first trainers were Oleksandr Ustenko (in FC Yunist) and Oleksandr Shpakov and Oleksiy Drotsenko (in FC Dynamo).[2]

He spent his career in the Ukrainian Premier League Reserves and in July 2015 went on loan to FC Hoverla in the Ukrainian Premier League. Polehenko made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League for club FC Hoverla Uzhhorod in a match against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk entraining in the second half-time on 19 July 2015.[3]

Desna Chernihiv

In Summer 2020 he signed a contract with Desna Chernihiv, the main club in Chernihiv, where he was born.[4]On 4 October 2020 he made his debut with the new team against Shakhtar Donetsk at the Chernihiv Stadium for the Ukrainian Premier League in the season 2020-21.[5]On 30 January 2021 he played against KF Shkëndija, replacing Yukhym Konoplya in the second half in the friendly match ended 3-1 for Desna.[6]
