Gmina Świecie is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Świecie County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Świecie, which lies approximately 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of Toruń and 45 km (28 mi) north-east of Bydgoszcz.

The gmina covers an area of 174.81 square kilometres (67.5 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 32,866 (out of which the population of Świecie amounts to 25,614, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 7,252).

Gmina Świecie is bordered by the town of Chełmno and by the gminas of Bukowiec, Chełmno, Dragacz, Drzycim, Jeżewo and Pruszcz.
