Hit the Hay is a 1945 black-and-white[1] American musical comedy film starring directed by Del Lord and starring Judy Canova.[2]

Plot

The plot evolves around an opera manager who hires a farm-girl (Canova) as singer for his new production.

Production and release

Filming took place from August 2 until August 29, 1945. The working title for the film was Hayfoot, Strawfoot.[1] The film was theatrically released on November 19, 1945.
