Mimosa Willamo

Mimosa Helena Willamo (born 1994[1]) is a Finnish actress. She was awarded a Jussi Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Headfirst.

Early life

Willamo was born into a bilingual family in Espoo.

Career

Willamo has performed roles in both Finnish and Swedish languages.[2][3] She is known for her roles in the films Headfirst [fi] (2014), Lake Bodom (2016), Born in Heinola [fi] (2016), Somebody Should Do Something [fi] (2019) and Sisu (2022), among others.

Awards

Willamo was awarded Jussi Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Headfirst, and she won the Best Actress award in 2016 for her role in Lake Bodom at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles.[4][5] For her role in Lake Bodom, Willamo was also nominated Jussi Award for the Best Actress.[6][7]
