Asajiro Noda

Asajiro Noda (野田 朝次郎, Noda Asajirō, 1868–1942) was a New Zealand seaman, cashier, gum-digger and farmer.[1] He was born in Japan, and left when he was about 10, spending several years as a sailor before settling in New Zealand sometime in the 1880s or 1890s.
