Roger B. Turner Jr. is a United States Marine Corps major general who has served as the acting Deputy Commandant for Plans, Policies, and Operations since July 2023.[1] He most recently served as the Commanding General of the 1st Marine Division from September 22, 2020, to June 8, 2022. Previously, he served as the Commanding General of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Training Command and Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center from 2018 to September 10, 2020.[2][3][4][5][6]

In April 2023, Turner was nominated for promotion to lieutenant general and assignment as the commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force.[7][8]
