CEACAM16 is a gene which encodes carcinoembryonic antigen. It is the only carcinoembryotic antigen found in the platypus. [1] The protein is expressed in mammalian outer hair cells, and mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal dominant nonsyndromic deafness.[2][3]
