Lauren Smith is an English professional football head coach at Bristol City W.F.C., in the top tier of English Women's football.
Career
In 2010, Smith joined Bristol City as an Under-14 coach. In 2014, she became a full-time employee becoming the club's 9-19 technical director and First Team assistant coach. Smith also oversaw the Development Squad and SGS College female women's football side.[1] In 2017, she left Bristol to become assistant manager at the Football Association of Wales as assistant coach to the women's senior side. In January 2021, Smith joined Tottenham Hotspur as an assistant coach.[2] In June 2021, Smith rejoined Bristol city as head coach of the senior Women's team.[3] In the 2022/23 Women's Championship season, Smith lead Bristol City to win the league and be promoted back to the Women's Super League - the top tier of English Women's Football. She was named the Championship Manager of the Season for 2022/23.[4]
