Shahidul Karim (born 1 October 1971)[2] is a Bangladeshi diplomat and the current Bangladesh ambassador to Denmark since July 2022.[3][4] Prior to this position he served as the ambassador to Bhutan.[5]

Early life

Karim earned his bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.[4]

Career

Karim enlisted into the 18th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service foreign affairs cadre.[4] He served as the Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.[4]

From 2019 to 2022, Karim was the ambassador of Bangladesh to Bhutan.[5] He was the former Chief of Protocol officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.[6]

In July 2022, Karim was appointed the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark.[4]

Personal life

Karim is married to Syeda Mahrufa Akter.[2]
