Keyone Jenkins is an American football quarterback for the FIU Panthers.

Early life and high school

Jenkins grew up in Miami, Florida and attended Miami Carol City Senior High School[1], before transferring to Miami Central Senior High School. In Jenkins senior season of his high school he threw for 1,565 yards and 22 touchdowns to just three interceptions, while also rushing for 148 yards and four touchdowns.[2] He was rated a three-star recruit and originally committed to play for Auburn[3], but he instead committed to FIU.[4][5]

College career

During Jenkins's true freshman season in 2023, he was named as the starting quarterback. In his debut game against Maine, he led the team to make their first win of the season and finished the game by tossing two touchdowns and broke the school-wide record of the most passing yards by a true freshman with 292.[6] During the game against UConn, he tossed three total touchdowns, two of them being passing and one rushing, accumulating the team's third win of the season.[7] However in the following week, Jenkins would exit the game with an injury after taking a hard hit.[8]
