It was released on April 21, 2023, through Blue Jean Baby Records, as the lead single of her seventh studio album Along the Way (2023). The song was written by Caillat, Liz Rose, and A. J. Pruis with production by Jamie Kenney. This is her first solo release since 2016's The Malibu Sessions.
