Michael Schimmel (May 5, 1896 – February 4, 1981) was an honorary trustee of Pace University from 1967 until his death in 1981.

Over the years, Schimmel made donations to the University to be used by various departments. When One Pace Plaza was being built in the 1960s, there was a capital campaign; one benefactor, Schimmel, donated most of the money for the theater. The Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University in New York City is named after him. New York University has a Schimmel Auditorium.
