In Norse mythology, Víðópnir is a rooster. According to Fjölsvinnsmál, Víðópnir or Víðófnir is a rooster that sits at the top of Mímameiðr, a tree often taken to be identical with the World Tree Yggdrasil. The name does not otherwise occur in the medieval sources.
