Royal Cape Yacht Club is a Yacht club located in the port of Cape Town, South Africa.

It was founded in 1905[1] with the name of the Table Bay Yacht Club, changed to Cape Yacht Club in 1914, after merging with the Alfred Rowing Club. Subsequent to the patronage of the British crown was awarded the title Royal. RCYC is home to the Cape to Rio yacht races.

Team Shosholoza was RCYC's entry into the 2007 America's Cup[2]

International yacht races such as the Whitbread Race make stop overs at RCYC[3]
