The Anermolen (windmill of Ane)

Ane (Dutch Low Saxon: Aone) is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality Hardenberg, about 5 km northeast of the centre of Hardenberg. The village centre of Ane has about 120 inhabitants; together with the part of the surrounding countryside that is reckoned to belong to Ane, the population is about 530.Statistics Netherlands, 2007. Figures are for the year 2006. Statistics are available in Google Earth format. This includes the hamlets De Schans and Engeland.

The Battle of Ane was fought near the village in 1227.
