The Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF), headquartered in Denver, Colorado, is one of six not-for-profit regional arts organizations funded by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Founded in 1974, WESTAF fulfills its mission to strengthen the financial, organizational and policy infrastructure of the arts in the West by providing innovative programs and services.[1] WESTAF serves the largest geographical area and number of states of the six mainland regional arts organizations, working in partnership with the state arts councils of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
