Shabdeg or Shab daig (Urdu: شب دیگ ) is cooked with Turnip and the meat version includes lamb, beef or chicken. This dish is believed to have originated from Kashmir.[1][2][3] "Shab" means night and "daigh" means cooking pot in Urdu language. This dish was left to simmer during the night.
