The Cananea mine is a large copper mine located in the north-west of Mexico in Sonora. Cananea represents one of the largest copper reserves in Mexico and in the world, having estimated reserves of 4.52 billion tonnes of ore with a grade of 0.42% copper.[1] Place of Cananea strike in 1906.
