Alexander Tikhonov (publisher)

Alexander Nikolaevich Tikhonov (Oct. 20 (Nov. 1), 1880, Verkhneserginskii Zavod – 27 August, 1956, Moscow) was a Russian writer and publisher. He was the publisher of Letopis (1915–17), Novaya Zhizn (1917–18).

In 1905 Tikhonov published a number of short stories, articles, and reviews. Then in 1908 he graduated from St. Petersburg Mining Institute.[1]

A portrait of Tikhonov by the artist Yury Annenkov was sold for £4,002,500 at Christies on 24 November 2014.[2]
