John Sutherland, 7th Earl of Sutherland

John de Moravia (also known as John Sutherland[1]) (d.1460) was the 7th Earl of Sutherland and chief of Clan Sutherland.

John de Moravia, 7th Earl of Sutherland married Margaret, daughter of Sir William Ballie of Lamington. They had four sons:[1]

  1. Alexander de Moravia (Master of Sutherland, died young).
  2. John de Moravia, 8th Earl of Sutherland.
  3. Nicolas Sutherland.
  4. Thomas Beg Sutherland.
