Albert Resis (born December 16, 1921) is an American historian, Professor of History at Northern Illinois University 1964-1992. Since 1992 he is a Professor emeritus and a writer.[1]

He is the author of the books[1] Stalin, the Politburo and the Onset of the Cold War: 1945-1946[2] (1988) and Molotov Remembers: Inside Kremlin Politics[3] (together with Russian author Felix Chuev) (1993). He is also the main author of a number of articles in Encyclopædia Britannica on Russian and Soviet history.[4]
