Hu Wei (Chinese: 胡伟; pinyin: Hú Wĕi; born 1983) is a Chinese filmmaker. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for his experimental film Butter Lamp.[1][2][3] He was born in Beijing and graduated from La Femis, the most prestigious film school in France.[4]
