Spialia paula, the mite sandman, is a butterfly of the family Hesperiidae. It is found in Botswana, Transvaal and Zimbabwe. The habitat consists of dry savanna.

The wingspan is 20–27 mm.^[2] This is a small butterfly that is primarily brown with white spots on the dorsal side of the wings.^[2] Adults are on wing between August and April.^[2] Adults of both sexes feed from flowers.^[3]
