Polistes africanus is a species of paper wasp from Senegal; Liberia; Nigeria; Cameroon; Zaire; Kenya; Somalia; Tanzania, including Zanzibar; Comoros; South Africa(Kwazulu-Natal, Western Cape Province).[1]
