Bogen (river)

The Bugun River (Kazakh: Бөген Bógen) is a river of southern Kazakhstan. It flows for 164 kilometres (102 mi) with a basin area of 4,680 square kilometres (1,810 sq mi). The river begins at the confluence of the rivers Ulken-Bugun and Bala Bugun, flowing from the south-western slopes of the Karatau Mountain ridge. The river is used for irrigation.
