Obeth Kandjoze

Obeth Mbuipaha Kandjoze (born August 9, 1966 in Windhoek) is a Namibian politician of the ruling SWAPO Party. He has been Minister of Mining and Energy in the Hage Geingob Cabinet since 2015. In a Cabinet reshuffle in February 2018 he swapped positions with Tom Alweendo and is since the and has been Minister in charge of the National Planning Commission.[1]

Kandjoze has worked for the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia since 1999 and was its CEO from 2012. He holds a Master of Science degree in geology from the University of Helsinki, Finland, a Bachelor of Science degree, also in geology, from the University of Cape Town.[2][3]
