USS Margaret (SP-328) was a trawler acquired by the U.S. Navy during World War I. She was configured by the Navy as a patrol craft. Post-war she was sold to her previous owner.

World War I service

Margaret, a 273-gross-ton menhaden fishing trawler, was built in 1912. During World War I she was acquired by the Navy, being placed in commission as USS Margaret (SP-328) in May 1917. She was renamed SP-328 in 1918 to avoid confusion with another Navy ship named Margaret.

Post-war disposition

No longer required following the Armistice ending World War I, USS SP-328 was sold to her former owner in April 1919.
