District map

District 43 of the Oregon House of Representatives is one of 60 House legislative districts in the state of Oregon. As of 2013, the boundary for the district includes a portion of Multnomah County. The current representative for the district is Democrat Tawna Sanchez of Portland.[1][2]

Election Results

District boundaries have changed over time, therefore, representatives before 2013 may not represent the same constituency as today. General election results from 2000 to present[3][4] are as follows:

  1. ^ Deborah Kafoury was the incumbent in this election. She previously represented District 18, but was moved to this district due to redistricting following the 2000 United States Census.[5]
  2. ^ Lew Frederick was the incumbent in this election. He was appointed to this seat on October 30, 2009 to replace Chip Shields, who resigned to take an appointment to the District 22 seat in the Oregon Senate.[6][7][8]
