Hirwaun, Penderyn and Rhigos

Rhigos is the northernmost electoral ward in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. It covers the community of Rhigos and most of the neighbouring community of Hirwaun, excluding the village of Hirwaun itself (which forms a separate ward) but including the village of Penderyn. The ward elects a county councillor to the Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council.

While being the largest ward in Rhondda Cynon Taf, it is also one of the least populous. According to the 2011 census the population of the ward was 1,700.[1]
