The building in 2008

Slovo Building (Ukrainian: Будинок «Слово») is a residential multi-storey building located in the Shevchenkivskyi District of Kharkiv. Built at the end of 1920s, it housed many Ukrainian writers and poets who later were murdered by the Soviet regime in Sandarmokh and better known as the Executed Renaissance.

In most Slavic languages the word "Slovo" means "Word".
