James Peter (Hamish) Kimmins CM (born 1942) is a Canadian professor emeritus of forest ecology at the University of British Columbia.[2] Prior to his retirement, he was Canada Research Chair in forest ecosystem modelling.[2] In 2013, he was made a Member of the Order of Canada for his contributions to environmental sustainability in forest management.[3]
