Tukumana Te Taniwha

Tukumana Te Taniwha (1862–1941) was a notable New Zealand tribal leader and historian of Māori descent. He identified with the Ngāti Maru and Ngāti Whanaunga iwi. He was born in the Coromandel, New Zealand in 1862. His mother, Karukino Te Taniwha, was the daughter of Te Horeta Te Taniwha.[1]
