Kamal Mirawdily

Kamal Mirawdily, son of poet Mammand Aghai ("Fanie"), is a London-based[1] Iraqi politician, political analyst, author, and poet. He was a candidate for the 2009 Kurdistan Region presidential election. He is of the tribe Mirawdale, also written Mirawdeli, ميراو ده لي, also called Agha or Axa.

Mirawdeli came to London in July 1981 where he works for Kurdish interests both as an academic and a poet. He previously the Chair of the Kurdish Writers Union.[2]
