Placerville Speedway is a 1/4 mile dirt track located in Placerville, in the Sierra Nevada foothills of eastern California. Placerville Speedway is often known as "Knoxville on the Hill", referring to the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.

History

Since 1965, it has been a premier west coast racing venue, hosting several racing divisions and many legendary drivers. The iconic track was cut out of a hillside, giving it higher banking, and covered with a dark red clay racing surface.

On November 20, 2019, the speedway is scheduled to host the Elk Grove Ford Hangtown 100, a 100-lap, $20,000-to-win USAC National Midget Series race.
