Akulen (Kyrgyz: Ак-Өлөн - Ak-Ölön) is a village in the Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan. Its population was 1,497 in 2009.[1] It lies about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) inland from the western bank of Issyk Kul lake.[2]
