Robert Brown (2 December 1931 – June 2019) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a full back.

Career

Born in Motherwell, Brown played for Polkemmet, Motherwell and Workington.[2] Brown was Workington's record appearance holder, and made a total of 469 league and cup appearances for the club between 1956 and 1967.[3] He also spent some time as player-coach.[4]

His appearance record was beaten by Kyle May in 2015.[4] His son Bobby also played for Workington.[4] He died in June 2019, aged 87.[4]
