"M.V.P." is a song recorded by American rapper Big L. The track was produced by Lord Finesse for L's debut studio album, Lifestylez ov da Poor and Dangerous (1995). The song was written by Coleman and was released on January 1, 1995 as the second single from the album through Columbia Records/Sony Music Entertainment. The original version samples "Stay With Me" by DeBarge. The acronym M.V.P. stands for "most valuable poet".[1]
