Ferran Martin from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Bellaterra, Barcelona, Spain was named Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2012[1] for contributions to metamaterial-based transmission lines for microwave applications.
