The Dungane Peaks (72°11′S 24°9′E / 72.183°S 24.150°E / -72.183; 24.150) are two peaks, 2,870 metres (9,420 ft) high, standing 9 nautical miles (17 km) west of Dufek Mountain in the Sør Rondane Mountains. They were mapped by Norwegian cartographers in 1957 from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, and named "Dungane" (the heaps).[1]
