Out of the Womb is the first album by punk group Dayglow Abortions (then spelled with a "W"), recorded in 1980 and released in 1981.

Most of the tracks on Out of the Womb appear on the B-side to the Dayglo Abortions 1986 album Feed Us a Fetus, omitting the tracks "P.E.T.", "I Want to Be East Indian", and "Too Stoned To Care." Later CD releases of Feed Us A Fetus feature I Want to Be East Indian, however.

There is a single outtake from this album; a vastly modified cover of Bruce Johnston's "I Write The Songs." While it has never been officially included in any reissues of Out Of The Womb, the cover appears on the 1992 compilation album "20 More Explosive Fantastic Rockin' Mega Smash Hit Explosions!"[1] Additionally, it can be heard on The Cretin's official Bandcamp account.[2]

The song "I Killed Mommy" was covered by Mark Kozelek on his 2013 covers album Like Rats.
