Hills Radio 88.9 FM (callsign 5HR[1]) is a community radio station based in Mount Barker, South Australia.

Hills Radio commenced broadcasting on a temporary community broadcasting licence on 22 August 2014. Hills Radio claims to have a reliable broadcast radius of 20 km from Mount Barker.[2]

Hills Radio's current temporary community broadcasting licence is due to expire on 21 November 2019[3].

Hills Football League broadcasts

From 2015 until the end of the 2017 season, Hills Radio broadcast Hills Football League matches during the football season. The first match broadcast by Hills Radio was the Nairne-Bremer v Kersbrook match in Round 4 (2 May 2015).[4]

In 2018, the Hills Football League resumed control of their broadcasting rights and set up a new organisation, HFL Media, to distribute HFL content. Hills Radio no longer broadcasts Hills Football League matches during the football season.
