Raisa Maria Räisänen[1] (born March 10, 1983, Tampere) was a 16-year-old girl who disappeared in downtown Tampere, Finland on October 16, 1999. The case is unsolved as of 2019. Räisänen was declared dead in absentia in 2007.[2]

Disappearance

Because of the EU Summit that was held in Tampere on the same day, security was tightened and there were police everywhere from Finland[3].

The last call from Räisänen's phone was at 22:18[1] and the last confirmed sighting of her was at 22:50. After that there were several uncertain reports of someone resembling her.[4] According to the police it is likely that she was seen downtown at 23:50.[3]
