Gimmestad Church (Norwegian: Gimmestad kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Gloppen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sørstranda, right along the shore of the Gloppefjorden. It is the church for the Gimmestad parish which is part of the Nordfjord prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1910 by the architect Niels Stockfleth Darre Eckhoff. The church seats about 315 people.[1][2] The church was consecrated on 19 December 1910 and it replaced the Old Gimmestad Church as the main church for the parish. The old church is located about 0.6 kilometres (0.37 mi) west of the new church.[3]
