Martha Bablitch

Martha Bablitch was a judge on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.

Biography

Babltich was born on October 28, 1944 in Lawrence, Kansas.[1] Bablitch grew up in Ypsilanti, Michigan and moved to Wisconsin to attend Lawrence University. She later graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She was married to William A. Bablitch, who was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate and Wisconsin Supreme Court.[2] They divorced in 1978. Bablitch died from lung cancer on April 4, 2007 at her home in Waunakee, Wisconsin.

Career

After practicing private law in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Bablitch was elected to the Court of Appeals in 1978. She retired in 1985.
