Not to be confused with Kelappan Thampuran (cricketer, born 1937), who also played for Travancore Cochin.

Kelappan Thampuran (born 31 March 1925) was an Indian cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman who played for Travancore-Cochin. He was born in Thrippunithura.

Thampuran made a single first-class appearance for the team, during the 1951-52 Ranji Trophy season, against Mysore. From the opening order, he scored a duck in the first innings in which he batted, and 6 runs in the second, as Travancore-Cochin lost the match by an innings margin.
