The 1991 Nicholls State Colonels football team represented Nicholls State University in the 1991 NCAA Division I-AA football season. The Colonels were led by fifth-year head coach Phil Greco. They played their home games at John L. Guidry Stadium and were a member of the Southland Conference. They finished the season 4–7, 2–5 in Southland play to finish tied for sixth place.
Previous season
The Colonels officially finished the season 5–6 as an NCAA Division I-AA Independent. The team finished with a record of 4–7, but was awarded a forfeit win against Stephen F. Austin.
